Principal Infrastructure Engineer (Lead)

Engooden Health is looking for a Lead/Principal Infrastructure engineer who is looking to grow and learn within a high-impact startup environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a technology team focused on providing the tools, services and secure infrastructure supporting our multi-tenant SaaS solution that powers our mission to improve the lives of patients with chronic medical conditions.

While the position is listed in Boston, MA we are accepting anyone in the continental US as this position is virtual.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design, implementation, and support of best practice tools and practices to support our rapidly growing team and ensure the security and reliability of the production SAAS application
• Serve as a subject matter expert and liaison to development regarding the potential and proper use of cloud infrastructure and services in AWS
• Maintain Infrastructure as Code git repositories based primarily on Hashicorp’s Terraform
• Assist development teams in creating and maintaining CI/CD build pipelines
• Support Ops, DevOps, and security functions and tasks
• Maintain multi-region and multi-account backups of the hosting environment
• Maintain and execute Disaster Recovery processes for the SAAS application
• Implement and maintain remote connectivity to customer environments
• Ensure COTS products and services are patched against emerging vulnerabilities

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years experience managing production AWS environments
• Experience supporting SOC2 or comparable compliance frameworks
• 7+ year's experience managing production hosting infrastructure
• Experience with Linux and Docker
• Experience working with infrastructure as code (Ansible and Terraform)
• Eastern or Central time zone working hours preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Experience with task automation and scripting with Python, bash, or similar
• Passion for owning and mentoring others in the areas of infrastructure as code, configuration management, security, and operational monitoring
